Five Things You Need to Know About Cleveland Heights This Week

Rate changes for Cleveland Heights parks and recreation programs, Cedar Fairmount Festival and more

1. The Discover Cedar Fairmount Summer Festival & Arts and Crafts Show is Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Check out the activities schedule attached to this article, look for our preview soon and visit the Cedar Fairmount Business District website for more information. 2. Cleveland Heights City Council will meet at 7:30 tonight at for its regular meeting. Council members will likely approve the new rates for parks and recreation programs and services. Look for more information about those changes soon. 

3. The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the building.

4. Blue Pike Farm, 900 E. 72nd St., will host its BBQ & Peach Festival from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, along with its regular farmers market. Blue Pike Farm and other vendors also sell local produce, meat, prepared goods and other items from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays at .

5. People can register now for Cleveland's Race for the Cure, which will be held Sept. 10 and starts at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University. For more information and to register, visit www.komenneohio.org.
