Flash Flood Warning Issued for Areas of Cleveland Until 6 Tonight

The National Weather Service warns that heavy storms are expected in the area

The National Weather Service's Cleveland office has issued a flash flood warning for Cleveland Heights, Beachwood, Solon and other areas until 6 tonight. 

According to its website, strong thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are expected to hit the area. Lake County was pounded with more than 2 inches of rain, and in one 15-minute period received a downpour that measured three-quarters of an inch.

The weather service warns residents to watch out for flash flooding.
