Lake Effect Snow Could Drop 7 Inches

The first lake effect snow event of the season could drop as much as seven inches of snow on Northeast Ohio overnight and Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Advisory for most of Northeast Ohio beginning Friday afternoon.

Forecasters expect about 1 to 3 inches of snow to fall overnight Friday and another 2 to 4 inches on Saturday, according to the forecast.

Along with the snow, forecasters expect gusty winds, low visibility and falling temperatures into the low 30s or upper 20s.

The advisory is set to expire at about 7 a.m. Sunday.
