We checked the stats and compiled the top 10 most-read stories of 2011

We asked readers which articles they thought should be included in in Cleveland Heights.

We offered suggestions based on some of the most popular topics — the rezoning of the , and , the football team's and new businesses in Cleveland Heights.

We did the math, and none of the above except for the business stories made the top 10 list based on readership.

Here are the top 10 stories on Cleveland Heights Patch in 2011 based on how many times they were viewed:

Residents packed Oct. 3 to voice their concerns about gunfire in their neighborhood Oct. 1. No one was hurt, but neighbors said one home was causing most of the problems in the area. The tenants of the troubled home moved out shortly after the meeting, and the house was declared a nuisance.

We told readers when Luna Bakery Cafe opened in the Cedar Fairmount Business District.

The most-read stories aren't always good news. Sometimes they are tragic. A 16-year-old Cleveland Heights resident was shot and killed the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Police arrested five suspects and are still investigating.

We made sure people knew about SweetieFry, a snack shop that sells ice cream and fries. The Lee Road business became so popular so quickly that it sold out of ice cream for a few days.
