The park elk being euthanized

For several days a news story evolved showing a park elk walking up to humans and rubbing his antlers on them gently. The stories showed a male human complete with his camera and tripod sittind on the ground right in front of the elk enticing the rubbing of the antlers. Within a couple days the elk. was euthanized. The Rangers shared that the elk was getting to close to the humans and could become dangerous.I am think of other options: all humans in the area stay in their car, keeping hands in the car. Do not feed the elk. Drive very slowly so the elk is not injured. Sedate him and relocate him.
