Roller derby is back and better than ever in Cleveland. The Burning River Roller Girls, Cleveland's premier flat track roller derby league, is proud to present its seventh season of real roller derby with more action than ever in our new home at the Ohio Nets Sports Complex in Parma.

All events are double-headers, so you get double the derby action for one low price! Tickets available at the door, but we strongly encourage ordering ahead of time to guarantee seating. Our first event at Ohio Nets sold out!

Cleveland's top skaters deliver a unique sporting event that combines the speed, strategy, strength and agility it takes to compete on eight wheels. This isn't the staged antics of the 70s. These are Northeast Ohio athletes training intensely to create an event worthy of the greatest sports fans in the country.

Our season kicks off Saturday, Feb. 16 with a double header featuring Cleveland's Burning River All-Stars against the Twin City Derby Girls of Champaign-Urbana, Ill. Also competing will be Cleveland's HazMat Crew versus the Little Steel Derby Girls of Youngstown, Ohio. Be there to witness the best of the best of the Burning River Roller Girls as they show our rivals how tough Cleveland can be.

Agreed. New site is much too busy and/or confusing. Old format was easy to navigate and followRead More certain stories , a very cumbersome ordeal now. Thumbs down on the change.

Along those lines, Diane, I thought an indoor greenhouse would be a good idea. Classes on how toRead More create gardens, grow food, store and preserve food would be an asset to the City.

Diane H. Dreizen & bachtobroadway42 - what interesting ideas! I'd love to see the whole messRead More raised and the area turned into a public park/recreation area with walking trails, bicycle paths, community gardens, etc. It seems the wind turbines could be in a place like that too. That's my dream, but we'll probably get some hideous redundant commercial development instead.

Fantastic ideas. I think a combo of retail and new green technology would be awesome. This is aRead More chance for CH to be innovative and show that it's not about the bottom dollar - it's about preserving what we have. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN THE NEXT MEETING IS - I WILL BE THERE!!!
