I'm providing the link to the BOE's April, 2012 "Plan C Fact Sheet".

It's all about how Plan C will improve education, and how they set out to do it. For $206 MILLION:

"Purpose of the Facilities Master Plan

"In the spring of 2010, a Citizens Committee, comprised of a wide cross section of community members, parents, teachers, and other school staff, convened to carefully study the District’s facilities. After a year of work, they reached the following conclusions:"

Well, as you know, Plan C got scrubbed.

Later in 2012, we got nearly the exact same group of individuals, this time named the Lay Facility Committee. And they come up with Plan 2B.

Which intentionally avoids addressing a single "educational issue".

And instead, as I heard last night, the LFC focused on remediating the $40 MILLION (as of 2007) mainteneance backlog, making entrances and hallways safer, increasing public meeting spaces, oh, yeah, and closing a bunch of schools.

With not even an elementary problem statement to support why they still need $206 MILLION.
