The CH-UH Libraries Don't Understand The Value Of A $, Either

Folks that don't have computers at home are *not* "Job Creators".

A bunch of words and spending, adding up to nothing.

What kind of "entrepreneurs" or "job creators" need to use one of the 26! PCs at this new room?!?!

Except for the "special" books, magazines, and advice from the guy, most folks already have all this stuff at home, or don't need it to start or run a business. And books, magazines, and advice from the guy shouldn't cost CH-UH taxpayers nearly HALF A MILLION $ !!!

And the "special" books and magazines can probably be read, downloaded, or purchased on this thing called "The Internet". It's all the rage!

The renovation project, designed by Cleveland-based Studio Techne, began in November and was expected to come with a price tag of $485,300 to be paid through the Heights Libraries Building and Repair Fund.

Moving the SBDC to the new location will increase its customer base, and “allow those seeking advice on business plans, marketing, staffing or other related issues to use the library’s resources to put their plans into action,” according to the library. The center will be staffed by Jim Kraft, director of the Cuyahoga County SBDC at Cleveland State University, and a graduate student in business at CSU.

The Heights Knowledge and Innovation Center will also include: a computer lab with 26 work stations and computers featuring Microsoft Office software; expanded wireless access; two small meeting rooms designed to accommodate laptops and other electronics; iPad rental; a special collection of business- and technology-related books and magazines; a production work area and office supplies including a copier, printer, scanner and fax machine; and a video, sound and digital media lab.
