Do you ever drive down Cedar Road to get downtown? Please, read on!
Please Vote NO on South Euclid issue 96, the Oakwood Golf Course re-zoning referendum. It's important for everyone on the near East Side. Those in other cities, please tell your friends in SE to Vote NO on 96!
- Goodbye amazingly long unbroken fence that we've all gazed at or glanced at our whole lives.
- Goodbye pastoral view of the golf course as folks leave their homes and head towards Warrensville Center Road.
- Goodbye natural grass and soil that handles the draining of so much rain water and snow, and it "Costs Us Nothing."
- Goodbye all hopes of anything better being accomplished on that property.
- Hello trucks! Gravel trucks. Asphalt trucks. Concrete trucks. Steel trucks. Cinder-block trucks. Sewer pipe trucks. Thousands and thousands of dump trucks of all descriptions. All day and all night.
- Hello asphalt, curbs, lighting, signage, trash! My, aren't you an ugly spectacle to look at countless times. Every day. For as long as we live here.
- Hello nearby flooding! When all those acres of grass and trees are paved over, and can't absorb rain water or melting snow.
- Hello traffic, accidents, aggravation, crime, some amount of undesirables!
- Hello grid-lock at Cedar-Warrensville. Then Mayfield-Warrensville. Then Fairmount-Warrensville.
Who would ever want to make such a mistake regarding the Quality Of Life in South Euclid? For money? How much is he saying? Maybe a half million a year? And that figure is way too high. Too little independent data has been produced to be sure of any claims from the developer.
Nobody moved here and bought a house expecting that nice, quiet golf course to become a Big Box Retail monstrosity. "Costs Us Nothing"? Whoever came up with that, doesn't know the *value* of anything.
Vote NO on issue 96!
