We The People Need To Be Seen and Heard Tonight!!!

Once again, the city council fails to represent We The People. Let's change that tonight!!

Public meeting is tomorrow for Cleveland Heights Lee Road streetscape

This is tonight, Thursday at the Lee Road library, at 7:00.

We The People need to get engaged, now, or it will be this narrow-interest business group deciding what us CH-ers get.

I've seen their analytical skills on display regarding the Lee-Meadowbrook $5 MILLION tax abatement and unappraised land give-away travesty (Potential warm bodies? The more the merrier!), and I don't want them (a handful is all, really) making any decisions for my city.

I don't remember electing them to be *my* representative.

"The Cedar Lee Special Improvement District and the City of Cleveland Heights are nearing completion on the preliminary engineering study for the streetscape that would encompass the portion of Lee Road between Corydon and Superior roads."

Since when has CH Council ever been interested in what the people that pay the bills want? Remember this is known as the Peoples Republic.Just like the rest of America now.

It's only "Business as usual" if we allow it via disinterest. I'm done with that. There are three brand new members on council, and they can't be allowed to follow that worn out old path. I think if We The People impose ourselves - into our own darn business! - that's when we will see the government we deserve. Peace.

Gary, I like the "we the people" comment.....I think 2 of the 3 are reasonable, not sure about the newest one. I think it's past time to reclaim lot's of things..

Our city is dying for all of us to make it a better place. I've spoken at 14 consecutive council meetings. I'm engaged up to my elbows. But one voice is very limited. You reach the diminishing returns curve head on real quickly. We need more thoughtful voices. There's a lot that needs attention, and we have to get to work for our own benefit. I hope you'll consider speaking at a council meeting, or contacting me regarding what we can do to improve the performance of the CH city council. Thanks!
