"Fair And Balanced"? Probably NOT.

The little guy has to work twice as hard.

I've attached the press release for the:
LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS Forum: November Ballot Issue
CH-UH School Bond for School Facilities
Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 7-8:30pm

And here is an e-mail I received today explaining how it "works":
----------------------
Dear Mr. Kanter,

Thank you for your interest in the bond issue forum.  I'm attaching our Press Release which will give you as much information about our September 11 forum on the school bond issue as we have at this time.

I understand that you would like to speak. The League has long-established rules for such forums.  We prefer to have both sides of a debatable issue speak before we open the forum up for Q&A to attendees. When an issue does not have an organized pro and/or con group, we have individuals sign up when they arrive to reserve a one minute comment time after a presentation and before the Q&A.

If you are representing an organized group opposing the bond issue, we want to invite someone from your group to make a presentation.  What defines an organized group is whether of not there is at least a Chair and a Treasurer, and whether or not you have had a fund drive.

Thank you for your interest in the future well-being of our great community!

Please let us know if you are part of a group qualified to present.  If not, I hope you will still plan to attend and speak during the comment time after presentations by the school board and the citizens campaign for the bond.

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Chapter of the Cuyahoga Area League of Women Voters (LWV-CA) is pleased to announce a public forum on the subject of the $134.8 million bond issue that will fund the first phase of a comprehensive school facilities plan.  The Cleveland Heights/University Heights School District has placed this bond issue on the ballot for the November 5, 2013 general election.

The forum will be held Wednesday, September 11 from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Meeting Room B at the:
CH-UH Main Library, 2345 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights.

Speakers from the CH-UH School Board, Citizens for Heights Schools, and any organization that may come forward to oppose the bond issue, will discuss the bond issue, its rationale and details.  Bring your questions and concerns.
