Annual New Year's Day Pancake Breakfast at Tommy's Set for Sunday

Proceeds from the event benefit Heights Arts

is once again hosting a New Year's Day Pancake Breakfast to benefit .

The restaurant has flipped flapjacks for 12 years and raised more than $45,000 for the nonprofit arts organization on Lee Road, according to a press release from Heights Arts. The tradition began in 2001 when owner Tom Fello offered to help raise money for the Coventry Arch on the corner of Euclid Heights Boulevard and Coventry Road.

The eat for art event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Volunteers serve food, bus tables and wash dishes, and Fello mans the grill.

All proceeds from the all-you-can-eat breakfast, including tips and raffle tickets, are donated to Heights Arts. The organization also asks patrons to bring an unwanted and unwrapped holiday gift for the annual raffle.
