Why you should get involved in the campaign to elect Democrats

The Cleveland Heights Dems Club hosts monthly forums on important issues, and meets on the second Thursday of every month, except August, at the Cleveland Heights Community Center.

At last weeks forum, hosted by the Cleveland Heights Dems Club, we enjoyed hearing from three key individuals who are working hard to elect Democrats this fall.  They gave us 5 great reasons you should get involved in the campaign to elect Democrats:

1.  Ohio is split down the middle in presidential polling (within 2-4 points, within the margin of error).

2.  Nationally, the Real Clear Politics average has President Obama up by only .3% of a point.

3.  Republicans are raising $800 million, mostly thanks to Citizens United.

4.  Election Day is closer than you think.

5.  Elections have consequences, and we need to win!

How can you help?  Even if you have only an hour to give, it can make a difference!  Talk to your friends and neighbors.  There is no more effective method for influencing people than face to face conversation.  Drop by the Obama For America office at Shaker Square and find out about other simple ways you can help the cause.  Or, you are welcome to directly contact our forum speakers and create a volunteer campaign opportunity for yourself.
