2013, or 1963?

i've a friend who visited the new Chipotle at Cedar Center this week; i warned him against it--we'd virtually grown up together in the now defunct Q Tal on Coventry--but he insisted on dragging his dad there; well, they made him two sandwiches and by the time he finished the first my friend was sick; so he got his dad to take him back for a refund, but when he went in, the manager just turned and walked away from him! naturally, his dad sprung out of the car and went in to get a rather lengthy song and dance as to why the manager simply couldn't afford to refund  about $12 to someone making not much more than that per day--this manager even claimed he explained all this to his son, which puzzled my friend's father because my friend wasn't in the store long enough for so lengthy a tale before his dad had to go in;  now my friend's father has been chased by police dogs and armed klansmen, so you know what era he's from; it is unlikely this manager, being not half my friend's father's age, has been chased by anyone unless he dropped something; now my friend's father is a wise sort, so while he was being lied to by the manager, he saw that one of the staff handling food and making sandwiches was wearing those cut up jeans that showed off most of her leg and thigh well up to her...well, you-know-whats; my friend tells me his dad was polite enough to inform the home office he would call the health board why he would never eat there again, or let his family do so;  all the manager had to do was not treat him and his son the way Woolworth's used to treat his dad fifty years ago; who can blame his dad for saying, "New building, but nothing else has changed..."
