Community Corner

One The One Hand, On The Other Hand...

At the first campaign opportunity available, I will ask incumbent CH city councilperson Jason Stein, who is running for re-election, this question:

------------------------

Councilperson Stein, in February, 2012, you voted to close and bulldoze the fully functional Denison swimming pool in the North end of town.

Just months later, you were the driving force behind establishing the eight, "public", gender-specific Sunday evening swim sessions at the Cumberland pool in 2012 and 2013. Great efforts were made to insure the presence of "Privacy Tarps" for each of the women's sessions.

As each CH council member is elected on an at-large basis, representing all residents in the community, how do you reconcile this double standard to members of the voting public, like myself?
