10-year-old, 16-year-old Charged With Assaulting a Cleveland Heights Man

The 58-year-old was walking home from the grocery store when he said the boys spit on him and punched him.

A 58-year-old Cleveland Heights man said two kids assaulted him on the 1100 block of Cleveland Heights Boulevard as he was walking home from the grocery store.

The man said that the children — a 10-year-old and a 16-year-old from Cleveland Heights — came up from behind him. The younger boy spit on him, he said, and the older boy pushed him from behind and punched him several times. The man was able to fight off the kids with his grocery bags. responded and arrested the two suspects, who were charged with simple assault.
