Police also reported that someone broke a window at . Police did not arrest anyone, as those involved in the fight fled.

That's not my concern. My concern is readers drawing negative and false impressions of Coventry and CH due to erroneous and exaggerated "reporting." The Patch has not been a problem. The PD and Sun Press are horrible.

I'm told City & East is an 18 and over place. I can't find a single person who has heard anything about this.

Thanks for your questions. I think the last thing the CHPD would want to do is exaggerate incidents. I don't know if this wasn't clear in the article, but he didn't say 100 people were fighting, just that 100 people were in the area, not leaving, and that there was an undisclosed number of people fighting when police first arrived. They didn't all just scatter at once - police said it took 30 minutes to clear the area. I understand the reason you question it and your concerns. I've clarified a few things in the story to make sure people don't read it as an 100-person fight. I'll see if I can find out more information.

Michelle, thanks so much for the corrections. Well, the original headline read, "100 People Involved In Disturbance, Fight On Coventry" so yeah, I think you might have implied pretty heavily that, "100 people were fighting..." (When I *just* posted onto facebook how you took the initiative to get the story right, this is what came up, "100 People Involved In Fight On Coventry". D'oh!! Still, why no arrests? I finally found a buddy who had some info. It was actually the first guy I called, but he was the last one I talked to. He said there was tons of broken glass on the sidewalk. From liquor bottles. And from windows. Again, thanks so much Michelle for following up and updating. You set a great example for the rest of the local media!!
