60-Year-Old Man Arrested A Week After Being Released From Jail

The Cleveland man is accused of carrying criminal tools and stolen property

Cleveland Heights Police arrested a 60-year-old man from Cleveland just one week after he was released from jail under community control.

Tauheed Badee pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, possessing criminal tools, petty theft and other charges in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court April 26. He received court-supervised release and was out April 27, according to court records.

The court noted that on May 16 Badee tested positive for cocaine three times, and he was sent back to prison. On May 29, he was sentenced again to community control and released.

officer was searching near Chelsea Drive and Forest Hills Boulevard June 5 after receiving a call that someone had stolen property from a Forest Hills Home. The officer saw Badee riding a bike and stopped him because he matched the description of the suspect. Police charged him with carrying criminal tools and stolen property from the home on Forest Hills Boulevard.

Police said he has been arrested on burglary and breaking and entering charges in the past.
