A Dozen Burglaries, Break-Ins Reported: Police Blotter

Cleveland Heights residents reported more than a dozen burglaries, break-ins or attempted burglaries between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7.

Between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7, more than a dozen Cleveland Heights residents reported a burglary, break-in or attempted burglary.

made two arrests and are still investigating the crimes.

Aug. 7

1900 block of Revere Road: 1 a.m., burglary. Suspects placed a patio chair under the window and pushed a window open. Residents said nothing appeared to be stolen.

1600 block of Cumberland Road: 9:27 a.m., burglary.

900 block of Montford Road: 11:03 a.m., break-in. Took lawn equipment from the garage.

Aug. 6

900 block of Montford Road: 2:05 a.m., attempted burglary. Reports two boys tried to break in but were scared off by homeowner. Police arrested two boys Aug. 8 and charged them with attempted burglary. Police are continuing to investigate whether they were responsible for other burglaries and break-ins in the area.  

Aug. 5

1800 block of Compton Road: 7:17 p.m., breaking and entering. Reports garage entered and items stolen.

Aug. 4

1200 block of Cleveland Heights Boulevard: 9:46 a.m., burglary. Police said the doors were unlocked.

1200 block of Oxford Road: 11:02 a.m., burglary. Someone stole a computer and entered through unlocked doors.

3900 block of Monticello Boulevard: 2:26 p.m., breaking and entering.

1900 block of Revere Road: Suspects stole a television, and the homeowner found a window open.

13000 block of Cedar Road: Someone broke into home in the afternoon by breaking the side glass door and unlocking it.

900 block of  Montford Road: Two men attempted to break in that evening, but they were scared by homeowners.

Aug. 1

2700 block of Euclid Heights Boulevard: 2:33 p.m., copper pipes stolen.

3100 block of Edgehill Road: 2:48 p.m. house broken into while woman was on a walk between noon and 2:30 p.m.

3200 block of Berkshire Road: Breaking and entering

3200 block of Dellwood Road: 9:48 p.m., attempted burglary. Caller reports suspicious men in the backyard.

In addition, a man was arrested July 26 and charged with breaking into a garage on Montford Road in July.
