Alert Neighbor Helps Police Arrest Burglary Suspect

A neighbor noticed Ra-Shon Everett trying to break into a home on Severn Drive Monday, according to police

An alert neighbor helped police catch a burglary suspect Monday afternoon.

At about 2 p.m., he saw a man trying to get into a home on Severn Drive.

At first, the burglar tried to use his shoulder to knock down the door. Then, he attempted to pry open a window, according to Cleveland Heights Police.

The witness told police that the man spent about 20 minutes trying to get into the house.

Furthermore, the witness knew the man didn't live in the home because he knew his neighbors.

The would-be burglar gave up on breaking into the house and the witness called police.

Soon thereafter, Cleveland Heights police officers spotted a man who matched the witness's description -- Ra-Shon Everett, 20, of University Heights -- in the neighborhood.

Police arrested Everett and charged him with attempted aggravated burglary.

Anyone who sees something suspicious in Cleveland Heights is encouraged to call the police department at 216-321-1234.

To Ms. Lynn: You may have something to say that I would agree with, if only I understood what you are trying to say! The sentences go on and on. Punctuation marks are needed.
