Attacker Barks Up Wrong Tree

Police catch up to young man who used branch in foiled robbery attempt

A man reported that a young man assault him with a tree branch in an attempted robbery on the corner of Lee Rd. and Washington Blvd. at 7:19 p.m. on Oct. 16.

The attacker, wearing a black sweat suit and white gym shoes, left the scene walking down Lee Rd. and wasn’t located for several hours.

Police eventually caught up to the man and returned him to the station at 9:24 p.m.
