Bartender assaulted in bar fight
Thursday, Nov. 22, 2:11 a.m. — The Tavern Co. reported that two men got into a fistfight at the bar. The bartenders told the two to leave, and one did, but the other stayed and punched the bartender instead, police say. He was arrested and charged with assault.

Couple in car take off mid-robbery
Thursday, Nov. 22, 11:05 p.m. — A couple in a car were approached by a man who tried to grab the passenger’s purse through an open window, they told police. The driver started the car and took off, and the robber let go of the purse and ran.

Drunken driver knocks down pole
Saturday, Nov. 24, 4:21 a.m. — A driver hit an electric pole at 2400 Fairmount Blvd. Police arrested him for drunken driving.
