Boy Suffers Broken Jaw After Fight Breaks Out on Hillcrest Road

Police arrested a 14-year-old East Cleveland boy and charged him with felonious assault.

A 14-year-old boy from Cleveland Heights was transported to the hospital after a fight broke out near the 1600 block of Hillcrest Road around 7:30 p.m. June 20 and someone broke his jaw.

The fight began as a verbal argument between a group of teens. About five more kids, all 14 and 15 years old, became involved in the dispute that included both boys and girls and the fight turned physical.

Police said a 14-year-old boy from East Cleveland is the suspect who assaulted the Cleveland Heights boy. He was arrested and charged with felonious assault, intimidation of a victim and obstruction.
