Incidents on the Cleveland Heights Police Department call logs

A man said he was walking near South Taylor Road and Antisdale Avenue at 2:15 a.m. Dec. 9 when a car stopped beside him and a man inside asked him how to get to 131st Street and Buckeye. The man walking didn’t really know, but told him he thought he should keep heading in the direction he was in. The man in the car asked him to get in and escort him there. When man walking refused, the driver got out of his car and again asked him to get in. Then the victim said he dropped his cell phone accidentally, and the driver scooped it up and drove off.

A man reported a burglary at his apartment on the 2400 block of Overlook Road.

A woman reported a burglary at her home on the 3800 block of Delmore Road at 3:46 p.m.

A caller reported that someone stole copper pipes from a home on the 1000 block of Helmsdale Road at 2:33 p.m.

A woman reported a burglary on the 1100 block of Clifford Road at 7:19 p.m.

Dec. 11:

A caller reported an attempted burglary on the 3700 block of Northampton Road at 10:38 p.m. Police arrested one youth.

Dec. 10:

A caller reported a burglary at an apartment on the 2400 block of Overlook Road at 10:33 p.m

A caller reported a disturbance on Meadowbrook and Lee roads just before 5 a.m. Four girls were fighting when arrived. Police advised them.

A caller reported that 20 to 30 juveniles were fighting near the 2600 block of Noble Road at 10:25 p.m. Police did not see a disturbance when they arrived, but officers took nine kids home.

Dec. 9:

A caller reported a burglary on the 2000 block of Hampstead Road at 5:50 p.m.

Dec. 8:

A caller reported a car theft on the 1700 block of Taylor Road at 8:56 a.m.

A caller reported a car theft on the 14000 block of Superior Road at 11:57 a.m.

A caller reported that the copper pipes and appliances were missing from a home on the 3500 block of Silsby Road at 12:55 p.m.

A woman called police at 7:08 p.m. and said it looked as though someone shot out the window of her car. Police said it appeared as though someone had thrown an object at the car.

A caller reported a burglary at the on South Taylor Road at 9:31 p.m.

A caller reported that a man was stealing packages from a building on the 2700 block of Euclid Heights Boulevard at 5:08 p.m.
