Cleveland Heights Man Shot On Noble Road

The 18-year-old was shot in the stomach, suspect arrested

An 18-year-old man from Cleveland Heights was shot in the stomach on the 2100 block of Noble Road July 26. 

There was an argument between a group of men and one 18-year-old from East Cleveland who was alone, according to Cleveland Heights Police.

The suspect pulled out his gun on the group and shot more than once, but police said no one was sure how many times.

A bullet hit the Cleveland Heights man in the stomach. He was taken to MetroHealth, but "did not have any life-threatening injuries," police said. The gunman ran. 

One man in the group flagged down a police officer, and police arrested a suspect, Keith Dorty, and charged him with attempted murder.

He did not have a gun when police arrested him. He is being held on a $100,000 bond and charged with felonious assault.
