Cleveland Heights Police Arrest Robbery Suspect on Coventry

An undercover officer witnessed the incident.

An undercover officer witnessed a robbery at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 27 on the 1600 block of Coventry Road, according to police.

The victim said that a man asked him for money. When he refused, he said the robber pulled up his shirt to reveal what the victim thought was a handgun tucked into his pants. An undercover officer in the area saw the incident and officers nearby stopped a man who matched the description. 

The man was arrested but charges are pending, police said. The department is still investigating.
