Cleveland Heights Police said they have arrested four suspects in connection with a that killed a 16-year-old from Cleveland Heights.

Police said they would not release the names of those arrested and have not charged them, but they have two adults and one youth from Cleveland in custody, and another they arrested and announced Tuesday.

Artwon Oliver was shot and killed Saturday near Lee and Superior roads just before midnight, according to a press release from the .

Artwon was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center by a Cleveland Heights rescue squad and later died from his injuries, according to the statement.

Earlier that night, Artwon had attended a party in Cleveland Heights, police said. He and a group of friends walked to the Sunoco gas station at the corner of Superior and Lee roads to get snacks. As they were leaving, police said one to two cars pulled up to the store. An "altercation" occurred, but police would not say whether it was verbal or physical.

The Cleveland Heights Police Department received numerous calls of a "large disturbance" in the area around 11:45 p.m, and the callers said that they heard at least one to two gunshots fired. When police arrived, they discovered the teen was shot in the chest, and was on the ground just south of Superior on Lee Road.

Officers tried to administer CPR, but he was unresponsive. Police are still investigating the incident and did not provide further information.

I am shocked and saddened by this shooting, near an entrance to Cain Park. According to reports as many as 14 people were involved, the police have arrest 3 (in the article) or 4 (in the headline) of the suspects. I would like to see all involved arrested. But to me, the unresolvable issue is the senselessness of the whole thing. What intervention teaches respect of others?

I also felt the same way when I heard this news, Ted. It is tragic. To clarify, there have been four arrested (it stated that in both the article in the headline.) I had more details about the three suspects arrested earlier but not this fourth suspect. I've been calling the police several times a day for updates, and I will continue to update readers when I get more details.

Agreed. New site is much too busy and/or confusing. Old format was easy to navigate and followRead More certain stories , a very cumbersome ordeal now. Thumbs down on the change.

I agree. I had even been tempted to start a blog just before this new and "improved"Read More layout. No longer interested in doing that - can't find anything on this patch.

Diane, for what it's worth, I believe FutureHeights has announced their intention to have a meetingRead More where the community can discuss ideas for Severance.

Along those lines, Diane, I thought an indoor greenhouse would be a good idea. Classes on how toRead More create gardens, grow food, store and preserve food would be an asset to the City.

Diane H. Dreizen & bachtobroadway42 - what interesting ideas! I'd love to see the whole messRead More raised and the area turned into a public park/recreation area with walking trails, bicycle paths, community gardens, etc. It seems the wind turbines could be in a place like that too. That's my dream, but we'll probably get some hideous redundant commercial development instead.
