Cleveland Heights Police Blotter: Drunk Driver Calls Police for Help

Police discover man is drunk, and his car is stuck on ice

OVI

  • A driver called police and said his car was stuck on ice on March 12 near Berkshire and Lamberton roads. When police arrived, they discovered he was drunk and charged him with an OVI.

Shoplifting

  • A 20-year-old woman was arrested for stealing leggings, valued at $5.88 from in on March 13. 
  • Two people were arrested after stealing about $84 worth of items from Walmart on March 13 in Severance Town Center. They bought other merchandise but tried to take about eight items without paying. 
  • There were three other reports of theft from Walmart between March 12 and March 14. 
  • A juvenile tried to steal items from in Severance Town Center on March 14. 
  • A theft was reported at the on South Taylor Road.

Drug Possession

  • Two students were caught with marijuana at on March 9 and March 14.

Burglary

  • There was a burglary on Edison Road March 9. Details from the report were not available. 
  • Bikes were stolen from a storage locker in the basement of a home on Overlook Road on March 13.

  • A vacant home was broken into on Bainbridge Road and reported on March 10. The house was boarded up. 

Theft from Cars

  • Between March 12 and March 14, three cars were broken into on Coventry Road, Cleveland Heights Boulevard and Montevista Road. Details about the incidents were not available.
