Cleveland Heights Police Blotter: More Than a Dozen Burglaries and Break-Ins in Less Than 2 Weeks

A list of burglaries and vacant home break-ins from May 4 to May 16

More than a dozen burglaries and break-ins were reported in Cleveland Heights from May 4 to May 16. The would not comment about the incidents, but encouraged residents to attend the Thursday  program. Below is the list of reports from police records.

May 16

  • Someone broke into a vacant home on the 1700 block of Lee Road. Several windows on the home were broken.

  • A man reported that someone stole his laptop, Xbox and television from his apartment on the 2800 block of Mayfield Road.
  • Someone stole credit cards and five bottles of alcohol from a home on the 1600 block of Eddington Road. 

May 13

  • A woman called to report that her computer and other items were missing from her home on the 14000 block of Superior Road.
  • Someone stole two TVs, an Xbox and a pair of shoes from a home on the 3500 block of Radcliffe Road.
  • Someone stole change, two bottles of wine, two bottles of Coca-Cola and miscellaneous jewelry from a home on the 2800 block of Hampshire Road. Police said they were not sure how much the jewelry was worth.
  • There was a burglary on the 2900 block of Overlook Road, but police said they did not have more information available about what was stolen. 

May 12

  • There were two burglaries on the 2200 block of Harcourt Drive. One woman reported that her laptop, digital camera and iPod were stolen. The other owner had not yet provided information about what was stolen.

May 11

  • A man reported that his laptop charger and money was taken from his apartment while he was sleeping at his apartment on the 2700 block of Euclid Heights Boulevard.

May 9

  • Someone broke into a garage on the 1900 block of Revere Road.
  • A woman reported her home was burglarized on the 1600 block of Hillcrest Road. 

May 5

  • Someone reported a burglary on the 3000 block of Somerton Road.

May 4

  • A vacant home was broken into on the 1000 block of Selwyn Road.
  • Someone broke into a vacant home on the 3700 block of Bainbridge Road. A window on the home was broken.
  • Someone broke into a vacant home on Staunton Road through an open window.
