Suspects in burglary found by police by following their footprints in the snow
Burglary
- Police arrested five juveniles suspected of burglary after following their footprints in the snow. They fled the house on Brinkmore Road Jan. 29, and ran to a home on Quilliams Road, where one of the suspects was house-sitting, to hide.
- An Xbox was stolen from a home on Yellowstone Road Jan. 26.
Breaking and Entering, Theft
- Copper pipes and a hot water tank were stolen from a vacant home on Noble Road Jan. 27.
- At least five laptops were reported stolen or lost from middle school and high school students in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District from Jan. 26 to Jan. 27.
- An employee at IHOP on Mayfield Road purchased items with a credit card left by a customer, reported Jan. 28. IHOP reimbursed the customer, who requested that no further action be taken, and the employee was fired.
- A wallet was reported stolen from a car near Cedar and South Taylor Roads Jan. 28.
- A cell phone was reported stolen from someone at Lee Road Library Jan. 26.
