Cleveland Heights Police Blotter: Teens Steal Gun, Cellphone from Home

Police found the suspects soon after the crime

On July 25, two teenagers asked a girl who lives on the 3300 block of Beechwood Road to use the restroom. Apparently there was a larger group of kids there earlier, and the girl knew some of the people that the boys were with. She let them in, and after they left she realized they had burglarized the home. Police arrived and found the suspects — a 14-year-old from Cleveland Heights and a 15-year-old from University Heights — both with property from the home on them. One boy stole a gun, and the other took a cellphone. They were charged with burglary.
