Cleveland Heights Police Searching For Suspect in at Least 2 Robberies

The suspect goes by the nickname "Meech" and is accused of robberies on Coventry Road and Cain Park.

The Cleveland Heights Police Department is searching for a suspect in at least two robberies who victims believe is a teenager and goes by the name "Meech."

A 14-year-old Cleveland Heights resident said two boys or men, including the suspect known as Meech, robbed him at gunpoint at 9:23 p.m. Sept. 8 in Cain Park and took his headphones, backpack and tennis shoes. The victim described the suspects as black and 15 to 18 years old. One teen was wearing a red coat and tan shorts, and the second was wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and white shoes, the victim reported.

In another incident, a man said he was approached by Meech and another man at about 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 on the 1800 block of Coventry Road. The victim said Meech revealed a gun and told the man to give him his belongings. When the man said he didn't have anything, the robbers fled.
