Home Depot Employee Charged With Stealing Cash From Register

A 24-year-old female Home Depot employee was charged with theft after police say she stole more than $1,000 from the register at the Cleveland Heights location, according to Cleveland Heights Police.

The woman was arrested and charged July 8 after the management of the store at Severance Town Center, 3460 Mayfield Road, began investigating after the employee's register came up short days in a row.

According to the police report, security footage recorded the employee stealing cash from the register between June 27 and July 7.

The woman stands accused of stealing $1,596 in cash.
