Intoxicated Man Headbutts Cleveland Heights Police Officer: Police Blotter

Employee at La Cave du Vin said she was having trouble with the customer and flagged down a police officer.

A highly intoxicated 22-year-old man headbutted a officer at as officers were trying to escort him out of the basement bar on Coventry Road.

An employee flagged down a police officer patrolling the area at 12:22 a.m. May 11 and said she was having trouble with the customer. When the Mansfield resident was approached by law enforcement, he started kicking officers and headbutted one. He was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, aggravated menacing and resisting arrest, among other charges.

That same early morning, at about 2 a.m. May 11, a patron of called police and said someone punched him in the back of the head. Police arrested and charged the suspect, a 22-year-old from Cleveland Heights, with simple assault.

Caller reports shots fired on Noble Road

A caller told police that someone fired a gun near the 2700 block of Noble Road on May 12. The witness reported seeing a man with a gun run behind a building, and then a group of men run north on Noble. Police did not find any spent casings or bullet holes, and no one was injured.

13-year-old says four men took his cell phone

A mother told police that four men took her 13-year-old's cell phone from him as he was walking near May 11. The unknown men, who were described as 18 to 20 years old, told him not to move and reached into his pocket to take the device, the boy said.
