Man Accused Of Breaking Into Homes On Janette, Bainbridge

According to Cleveland Heights Police, Carlos Everett had a stolen iPod on him when police arrested him

Cleveland Heights Police have arrested a suspect in a pair of burglaries that occurred in the city earlier this month.

The break-ins occurred in the 1900 block of Janette Ave. on Feb. 15 and 3600 block of Bainbridge Road on Feb. 16, respectively.

The burglarized home on Bainbridge had a security system that filmed the burglar as he broke into the home.

On Feb. 22, Cleveland Heights officers spotted a man who looked like the burglar on the security tape and was also wearing some of the same clothes, Cleveland Heights police said.

When officers stopped the man -- 20-year-old Carlos Everett of Cleveland Heights -- he also had an iPod on him that had been reported stolen in the Janette Avenue burglary, police said.

Officers arrested Everett and charged him with two counts of burglary.

Everett is in Cuyahoga County Jail now. He also faces a charge of illegal conyance of drugs from an unrelated incident, according to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas web site.
