Man to Be Sentenced on Vehicular Homicide and Other Charges

The 23-year-old crashed his car, and two passengers died from their injuries

A 23-year-old man pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and he will be sentenced Friday.

Glenn Parrish, whose records indicate he has lived in both Twinsburg and Shaker Heights, at 3 a.m. June 25, and crashed into a van, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason’s office. Police said no one was wearing seatbelts.

Three passengers in Parrish’s car were injured, and Daniel Sneed, 23, of Cleveland Heights, was pronounced dead at the scene, and Brandon Smith, 23, of Cleveland died from his injuries while at the hospital.

The other passengers recovered from their injuries as well as the driver and passenger of the other van.

Parrish's blood alcohol level was within the legal limit. He was under the influence of marijuana.

Parrish himself was treated at MetroHealth Medical Center for his injuries.

He will be sentenced at 11 a.m. Friday and faces a maximum of 17.5 years in prison. He is being held on a $10,000 bond.
