Man Who Stole From Cleveland Heights Gas Station to Be Sentenced Wednesday

The Cleveland Heights man faces a year in prison

A Cleveland Heights man who broke into the gas station in July will be sentenced Wednesday.

Ernest Bohanon, 42, pleaded guilty Aug. 17 to breaking and entering, and faces a maximum of one year in prison. According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason’s office, Bohanon used a chunk of concrete to break into the Cleveland Heights gas station July 9 and stole about 24 packs of cigarettes and several bags of potato chips.

He fled the store and was arrested later on, and threw out packs of cigarettes while sitting in the back of the police car.

He will be sentenced at 10 a.m. in Judge Nancy Fuerst’s courtroom.
