Ohio Savings Bank Robber Strikes Again

The man is wanted for at least six robberies in the Cleveland area.

The man who robbed Ohio Savings Bank in Cleveland Heights Nov. 1 is also a suspect in five other bank robberies in the area, according to information from the Cleveland FBI.

Since Oct. 26, the man is accused of robbing banks in University Heights, Cleveland, and Lyndhurst.

Most recently, the man, described as black, approximately 6 feet tall and 230 to 250 pounds, robbed Huntington Bank on East 185th Street in Cleveland at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday.

The man, just like he did in Cleveland Heights, presented a note that the bank was being robbed. He was wearing a dark coat and a camouflage hat with ear flaps.

When he robbed the Lee Road Ohio Savings Bank, witnesses said he wore white paint on his cheeks and gestured toward his jacket as if he had a gun, but did not reveal a weapon.

Anyone with tips should contact the Cleveland FBI office at 216-522-1400. Tips can remain anonymous. Reward money is available "for the successful identification and prosecution of the individual(s) responsible for these bank robberies," the FBI wrote.
