Over-Protective Dog Keeps People From Helping Sick Man And Other Animal Complaints

The Cleveland Heights Police Department receives dozens of animal complaints every week.

Every week, the Cleveland Heights Police Department deals with many animal complains, ranging from dogs barking and missing pets to bites and wild animals.

Here's a roundup of some of the recent complaints:

Over-Protective Dog

A man was having difficulty breathing on Aug. 1 while near the intersection of Yellowstone Road and Oakridge Drive. The man needed medical attention, but the problem was he dog was not letting anyone get close to the man to help him.

Police were able to get in contact with the man's wife, who came and picked up the dog. The man's condition is unknown.

Baby Deer Freed

A Hyde Park Avenue resident called police to say that a fawn was caught in a fence. A police officer came by and was able to free the baby deer.
