Parents Offering Reward For Letter Jacket, Pin Stolen During Soccer Game at Denison Park

Someone broke into a Mentor school bus during a game against Cleveland Heights High School Saturday at Denison Park. One soccer player wants to find a pin her late grandmother gave her, and her family is offering a big reward.

During the Cleveland Heights vs. Mentor girls soccer game on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Denison Park, someone broke into the Mentor team's bus and stole several items.

Cleveland Heights Police found many of the stolen items around the park. But a few are still missing, and one Mentor family is offering a $500 reward for their daughter's missing Mentor letterman jacket and angel pin.

Chuck Birchall Jr. said the pin was a gift from his daughter's grandmother, and though it is not worth much at a store, it is extremely sentimental. His daughter indicated she didn't care about the jacket — she just wants the pin back.

The 2013 Mentor letterman jacket is red with white sleeves, has Mentor soccer and track on the back, Samantha is written on the edge of the coat and the angel pin is attached in one of the pockets. The pin must still be there for a reward to be paid.
