Pit Bulls Chasing People, Owner Cited For Aggressive Dogs And Other Animal Complaints

The Cleveland Heights Police Department receives dozens of animal complaints every week.

Every week, the Cleveland Heights Police Department deals with many animal complains, ranging from dogs barking and missing pets to bites and wild animals.

Here's a roundup of some of the recent complaints:

1. Pit Bills Chasing People: A dog owner was cited by Cleveland Heights Police with inability to control his dogs after his two "large, white pit bulls" were chasing people near Cumberland Pool on July 25.

2. Aggressive Dogs: A pet owner on Oakdale Drive was cited for inability to control his dogs after two dogs were found running loose and acting aggressively on July 25. The dogs were caught by officials, who turned the dogs over to the owner. 

3. Dog Left In Hot Car: A resident called to report that a dog had been left in a car parked on Belmar Road and was barking on July 29. 

4. Cat Scratch: An Elmwood Road woman called police to report that her daught had been scratched by a stray cat on July 27.

5. Big Dogs On The Loose: Two Great Danes were seen running loose on Randolph Road on July 28.
