Police Blotter: 4 Arrested for Riot and Disorderly Conduct Charges

The women and girls, who range from 12 to 27 years old, were fighting when Cleveland Heights police arrived

A large fight was reported on the 2700 block of Avondale Road Aug. 5. When police arrived, a crowd was watching four women fight — an 18-year-old from East Cleveland, who was charged with aggravated riot, a 27-year-old from Cleveland Heights who was charged with disorderly conduct, a 17-year-old from East Cleveland who was charged with aggravated riot, and a 12-year-old from Cleveland Heights who was charged with aggravated riot.

  • Someone stole a laptop from a home on the 1300 block of Cleveland Heights Boulevard.
  • A burglary was reported on the 3300 block of Desota Avenue.
  • Three boys stole a bike from a garage on the 2200 block of Lamberton Road. They were arrested and charged with breaking and entering.
  • Someone stole copper pipes from a vacant home on the 3900 block of Ardmore Road.
  • Someone spray-painted a garage on the 2500 block of Kenilworth Road.

  • There was a burglary on the 3300 block of Blanche Road.
  • Someone stole a car on the 3700 block of Mayfield Road.
  • There was a burglary on the 3400 block of Berkeley Road.

  • Someone stole items from a car parked on the 2500 block of Euclid Heights Boulevard.
  • There was a burglary on the 2800 block of Avondale Road.

Aug. 6:

  • A woman stole two pairs of Shoes from  on Mayfield Road. An employee stopped the 33-year-old Cleveland Heights resident outside of the store, but the suspect scratched the employee's arm and ran off with her child. Police found the suspect later at . She was charged with robbery and child endangering.
  • There was a burglary on the 3200 block of Desota Avenue.

Aug. 4

  • Someone stole a car from the 2500 block of Edgehill Road.
  • Someone stole copper pipes from the 3400 block of Washington Boulevard.

Aug. 3:

  • A woman reported that someone broke into her house on the 1700 block of Randor Road and stole her car, laptop, wallet and briefcase.  Her car was found later, abandoned on the 1500 block of Belmar Road.
  • A man reported that his house on the 1700 block of Randor Road was ransacked.
  • A man reported that his apartment was broken into on the 2700 block of Lancashire Road.

Aug. 2

  • A caller reported that a man and woman were fighting outside of the on Cedar Road. The 36-year-old man from Cleveland was arrested for disorderly conduct, menacing and public intoxication.
  • An employee theft was reported at on Coventry Road. The person claimed that three employees stole $11,000 from the store. Police are still investigating.
