Police Blotter: Man Charged With Rape

A 63-year-old Cleveland Heights man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman

arrested a 63-year-old man Wednesday for accusations that he sexually assaulted a 19-year-old girl near the 1400 block of Forest Hills Boulevard. The man has been charged with rape and will appear in court today. The man, Ashley Robinson, has been convicted in Cuyahoga County on breaking and entering, grand theft, drug possession and other charges dating back to the 1970's, according to court records.

Teen assaulted while walking home from school

A woman reported that her 13-year-old daughter was assaulted while walking home from school around 3:30 p.m. Monday near Vineshire and Noble roads. She reported that two women in their early 20's were walking behind her and caught up with her. They asked her what she was looking at and started taunting her. When the teen tried to ignore them, one of the suspects hit her from behind on the left side of her face, police reported. As she turned around to defend herself, the other suspect hit her with a metal pipe or bat and ran away. Police are still investigating.

Man charged with burglary, Xbox tossed out the window

A Cleveland Heights man stopped by his ex-girlfriend's home at 5:41 p.m. Monday near the 3000 block of East Derbyshire Road to pick up his Xbox. Apparently he was not permitted to be there, so the woman and her mother would not let him in. He kicked in the back door and started arguing with them for his Xbox. The woman threw his Xbox out the window. He was arrested and has been charged with burglary for breaking into the home.

Large fight on Meadowbrook ends in arrest

Police received calls that there was a large fight near the 3300 block of Meadowbrook Boulevard just after 4 p.m. March 21. Three Cleveland Heights girls, ages 14, 14 and 13 were accused of being involved in the fight and arrested and released to their parents. Police charged the teens with disorderly conduct.
