Police Blotter: Police Arrest Suspect in Laptop Robberies

A 17-year-old Cleveland Heights resident is a suspect in at least four robberies

Police arrested a 17-year-old from Cleveland Heights Dec. 23 and charged him with stealing a laptop from a 12-year-old boy just after 4 p.m. Dec. 16 on the 1400 block of Rossmoor Road. He was also charged in another cell phone robbery, and is a suspect in two other laptop robberies.

Robbery at the Lee Road Subway

A caller said that an employee at was held up at gunpoint just after 9 p.m. Dec. 15. Police are still investigating and describe the suspect as a black male, about 6-feet tall, in his 20s, with a black knit hat and a mid length wool coat with a hood.

Cleveland Heights resident says teens assaulted him with sticks, stole cell phone

A Cleveland Heights resident told police that three teens hit him with sticks and took his cell phone around 3:30 a.m. Dec. 19 near Monticello Boulevard and Keystone Drive.

Woman not rewarded for act of kindness

A woman told police that a man asked her if he could borrow her cell phone around 12:30 p.m. Dec. 20 on the 3000 block of Mayfield Road. She agreed. The man then ran away with her phone.

Officers chase suspects in stolen car

An officer discovered that a car near Mayfield and Coventry roads around 9:30 p.m. Dec. 19 was stolen. When police tried to pull the car over, the driver resfused and attempted to escape. The suspects pulled the car over near the 1600 block of Coventry and fled on foot. Police arrested one 17-year-old from Euclid, and he is being charged with fleeing and receiving stolen property.  

Cleveland man arrested for robbery

A caller reported that three people tried to rob him at gunpoint near the 800 block of Nelaview Road Dec. 18.  Police arrested one suspect from Cleveland, but did not find a gun on the suspect. are continuing to investigate.
