Police Blotter: Police Still Investigating Shooting at The Sunny Spot

Police said one man was shot, another arrested Nov. 11

Police received a call just before 7 p.m. Nov. 11 that a robbery was in progress at on Noble Road. said one man was shot, but said they could not confirm if a robbery occurred or provide details about the incident as it is still under investigation. The injured man is recovering, and one man was arrested.

Man tries to hit police officer with car

A caller reported at about 8 p.m. Nov. 9 that a man was throwing unknown objects at cars on the 3900 block of Navahoe Road. Police arrived to investigate. When the officer stepped out of his car, the suspect drove his car toward him. The officer dove out of the way to avoid getting hit, and was able to get back into his car without getting injured. The suspect continued to try to hit the officer’s car. He then tried to drive away, but police were able to stop him soon after. The 46-year-old Cleveland Heights man was arrested and taken to the hospital for psychological evaluation.

Fight at Mario’s Fish Bowl ends in arrest

A man said he was sitting next to his co-worker at Mario’s Fish Bowl on Mayfield Road at about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 9 when the woman’s husband appeared and was enraged that the man was sitting by his wife, according to police reports. The 38-year-old from Richmond Heights punched his wife’s co-worker in the face. He was charged with assault.
