Police Blotter: Sunny Spot/Mama P's Restaurant Shooting Update

In November that a man was shot at The Sunny Spot/ on Noble Road just before 7 p.m. Nov. 11. Chief Jeffrey Robertson said police arrested suspect Quintin Henderson. Robertson said a man tried to rob the business first and then shot a man in the back. The victim is recovering. Henderson, 28, of Cleveland Heights, was indicted on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, felonious assault, carrying concealed weapons and other charges Nov. 17. His pretrial hearing was moved from Dec. 20 to Jan. 10 because Henderson must receive a psychiatric evaluation, according to documents from the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

Teen says man tried to sell him drugs in Lee Road Library elevator

A 19-year-old called police from around 4 p.m. Dec. 12 and said a man approached him in the elevator and tried to sell him drugs and then threatened to steal his money. The teen said no and ran out of the elevator, and police later arrested a 20-year-old from Cleveland Heights and charged him with trafficking and robbery. Later the charges were reduced to attempted theft, Robertson said.

Middle school students say teens stole their laptop computers

Two women reported that two teens stole their sons’ laptop computers just before 3:30 p.m. Dec. 9 near Yellowstone Road and Glen Allen Drive.

Hundreds of youth in Cain Park

A police officer said at about 150 to 200 youth were walking near at 3:44 p.m. Dec. 12. Eight officers dispersed the crowd. Robertson said there were no problems — it was just a large group of kids.
