Several men fighting on Coventry

March 8, 1:58 a.m. — Police responded to the 1800 block of Coventry Road on a report of several people fighting. When police arrived, they told the group to disperse and two men continued to fight: one man pushed another and, across the street, witnesses said that a second man kicked another in the head. Both were arrested for disorderly conduct.

Man threatens another with gun

March 10, 7:41 p.m. — A man flagged down police on the 1800 block of Coventry Road and reported that a man had threatened him with a gun. The witness appeared to be drunk, the report notes, and told police that he had told the other man, who he does not know, to pull up his pants as the two were walking down the street. The suspect had walked away.

Man’s assault charge upgraded to felony

March 12 — A man turned himself in to police on an arrest warrant. The defendant got into a fight at City & East Hookah and was charged with simple assault for breaking a beer bottle over another person’s head, but when the victim’s injuries were found to be serious several days later, police upgraded the charge to a felony.
