Police Investigating Burglaries & Break-Ins In Cleveland Heights

Burglaries and break-ins in the city reported between Feb. 27 and March 5

The Cleveland Heights Police Department are investigating burglaries and break-ins that have occurred in the city. If anyone has information regarding any crime listed in this article, he or she is encouraged to contact the police department at 216-321-1234.

  • There were a pair of burglaries recently on Grandview Avenue.

The first occurred on Feb. 28 in the 2200 block, the thief (or thieves) entered through an unlocked door and stole cash from inside.

A neighbor said they saw an unfamiliar 6-foot white man with a heavy winter coat and hat in the area at about the same time as the crime.

Then, on March 4, a burglar broke into the basement of a home on the 2300 block and stole a laptop computer.

  • A Playstation 3, two controllers and video games were taken when a house on the 1600 block of Eddington was broken into on March 1.
  • A burglar stole a lawnmower, air compressor and generator from a storage room from the apartment complex on Superior earlier this month.
  • Three cars were stolen from on Blanche and Superior Park in the last week. In each case, the car was left unlocked.
