Police Looking For Gunman Who Robbed Dollar General

Anyone with information regarding the robber's identity and whereabouts is encouraged to call 216-321-1234

Cleveland Heights Police are looking for the man who used a gun to rob the Dollar General on Lee Road last week.

At about 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, a man put entered the store, put a gun to an employee's head and started making demands.

He told nobody to move, called for a manager and demanded money.

Witnesses described him as a light-skinned black man that was 18 to 20 years old.

He had a slender build and was between six feet and six feet, three inches tall.

He had a tattoo underneath his right eye and either another tattoo -- perhaps of a bar code -- or a bruise beneath his left eye.

After the manager gave him money, he left the store.

A Cleveland Heights police officer spotted a man who fit the robber's description -- even seeing a handgun in his hand -- soon thereafter on Cedar Road.

The officer tried to arrest him but the man ran away on foot.

Anyone with information regarding the robber or his whereabouts is asked to call Cleveland Heights Police Department at 216-321-1234.
