Police Searching For Suspect In Check Into Cash Robbery

A man robbed employees at gunpoint Saturday afternoon.

Police are searching for a man who robbed the store on the 1900 block of South Taylor Road Saturday afternoon.

The suspect, who witnesses described as a black man, about 6-foot-1 and 220 to 240 pounds, pulled out a black, semi-automatic handgun and asked employees to empty the registers.

The incident occurred just after 12:30 p.m., and witnesses said the suspect was wearing a faded grey hooded sweatshirt, light wash jeans and tennis shoes. A surveillance photo is included with this article.

A K-9 was called to try and track the suspect, but he could not pick up the scent as too much time had passed.

Anyone with information should not approach the suspect and should call the at 216-321-1234 or 9-1-1.
